What data we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the shop. Depending on how you use the store, this can include:
• Basket contents and language preference — stored in your own browser so the shop remembers your cart and language.
• Cookie preference — your accept/reject choice, stored in your browser.
• Reviews you choose to leave — your name (as you type it), rating, review text and language. Reviews are public; please do not include personal details in them.
• Order and payment details — entered and processed entirely at the secure Shopify checkout. We never see or store your full card number on this website.
Third parties that process data
To run the store we rely on a small number of trusted providers:
• Shopify — hosts the product catalogue and processes all orders and payments. When you check out, your order and payment data is handled by Shopify under its own privacy policy.
• Google Maps — the store map in the footer is embedded from Google. Loading the map may send your IP address and browser details to Google.
• Hosting and review storage — the website and the customer reviews feature are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure within our platform provider.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies
Essential cookies are always on. They remember your basket, your language and your cookie choice, and let Shopify complete a secure checkout. Without them the store cannot work.
Analytics cookies are optional and are only used if you select “Accept all” in the cookie banner. They tell us which products and pages are viewed so we can improve the store. They are never used to identify you personally.
You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
How long we keep data
Basket and preference data lives only in your browser and disappears when you clear your site data. Reviews remain visible on the product page until you ask us to remove them. Order records are kept by Shopify for the period required by tax and accounting law.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights — including deleting a review you posted — email us at info@a1continentalstore.com and we will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If we change this policy we will update this page. The current version was last updated in September 2026.
